I pulled into the boat ramp at Lake Swoope and got launched just as the sun was coming up. I went thru the small cut and I'm into Lake Swoope. I was fishing with a tail spinner that I just made. This was the first time that I used this particular bait. Well after about 30 minutes of no bites I hooked into one at about 2.5 lbs. It put up a nice fight. So I kept going down this bank fishing offshore as the lake levels are a bit low right now. I managed to catch a few small ones and then I caught a 3.5 lber which turned out to be the biggest one of the day. So after fishing some more I switched over to a 8.5 c-tail worm in the junebug with gold glitter. I had 7 fish caught all together with 6 coming on the tail spinner. This particular tail spinner is an old design that disappeared but we make this lure now. It will be featured on our website shortly. Thanks Capt Glenn.

As a poor high school student with a curiosity for fishing, I found the story from Lake Swoope quite fascinating! It’s impressive how CaptGlenn managed to catch seven fish using a homemade tail spinner. The excitement of reeling in that 3.5 lb bass must have been unforgettable. I'll have to try similar techniques next time I go fishing.
