Sam Rayburn Crappie Fishing report
As of today the lake is a 1.5 feet low on a steady fall. The crappie bite has still been really good on piles. Theres a lot of bigger fish located on standing timer. They are a little harder to catch but a lot better size to them casting a jig at them and slowly winding it by them if condiions permits. The fish on piles are still eating shiners very good. Water temps are high along with air temps but it’s not too bad under the canopy on our fishing barge. •Sam Rayburn Bass Fishing Report
The bass fishing has still been good but has gotten a bit tougher than in previous months. if you find a school offshore first thing in the am you can catch them really good in a plug or draining a big worm or a Carolina rig. After the first hour it slows down and we have been fishing piles as to offshore natural structure For better quality bites. There’s not as many bites but a big worm and a jig have been the best for working slowly through the piles. There are still some fish on hard points and channel swings as well just depending if you’re looking for quality or quantity. Our better fish have been in piles. Hope this helps.
